After the second worldwide preparatory conference for the summit has ended in February, the next steps are the following:
On March 21st, the chairwoman of the draft working group, Lyndall Shope-Mafole, finalised new drafts for the summit declaration and the plan of action.
They are based on the following working documents decided at PrepCom2:

The new versions include some of the comments made by civil society during PrepCom2. The latter consist of the following documents:
Until the end of May, there is another possibility to submit comments on the new drafts of the working documents. This option is also be open to civil society. The summit secretariat is currently exploring means to effecively organise the further drafting process via the internet. After the end of May, another draft of the working documents will be produced, with inclusion of the latest comments.
From 15th to 18th July, the draft working group will meet for an intersessional conference in Paris to futher work on the drafts. This conference will be open for observer participation, including civil society, under the rules of the PrepCom.
The final negotiations for the summit declaration and the plan of action will take place during PrepCom3 which takes place from 15th to 28th September in Geneva.
